Jay Miller Was The Only One Who “Got” Our Vision
In 2006, we began a complete remodel and redesign of our 1920’s two story home. It was something we had spent nearly 20 years preparing and planning for and we had a very clear vision for what we wanted: to modernize the kitchen/bath and exterior of our home, yet keeping the vintage Craftsman design of the home intact.
After interviewing several capable local contractors, we decided that Jay was the only one who “got” our vision – and came in with a price that was right on budget for us.
The project was lengthy – 6 months for work that included not only the kitchen and bath remodel, but new roof, windows, stonework and siding on the exterior and hardscaping around the house and a deck, as well as all the plumbing and electrical work that went along with it.
From start to finish, Jay was always accessible to us and frequently on site.
His workers were hard-working, respectful and just down-right nice guys. We came out of it with a beautiful “new” home and a good feeling about the experience. He continued to be on top of things for us after the fact as well, making slight repairs and adjustments as we lived with the finished project.
Jay Miller was first person we thought of for the remodeling!

We have employed Jay Miller for our residence as well as for our business in various capacities since 1989. Our projects have included room additions, restructuring of a foundation, roof replacement and concrete/steel forms.
The jobs were always completed on time and within budget. Further, the work has withstood “the test of time”.
There has been no question that his company uses high quality materials and, when needed, sub contractors that have also been professional.
Recently, (and this has happened several times during our relationship), we were contacted by a representative of Mr. Miller as several changes pertaining to construction laws and requirements involved projects which were required to make. Though small in nature (electrical), we were relieved to be made aware of these changes so we could conveniently arrange for upgrades. This is the type of “after service” value which we accept as being routine with Jay Miller Contractors, Inc.
